Summer is the best time to visit as the waves will be a lot cleaner and bigger. Lake Michigan, Sheboygan, Wisconsin is another surfing destination that houses a secret surfing spot. Known as The Elbow, this place is only for experienced and most fearless surfers. 

The water is frigid and that there should be a storm nearby in order to generate the large waves. The danger itself is what stops most surfers from visiting but if you're the type of person who loves a challenge and you think about living life to the edge, then you should definitely try going to this place. So, if you really prefer to surf in peace, you may want to test some of the mentioned destinations.
